The SLA outlines the housing and support available for young people in Tasmania who are on a care and protection or other statutory order. It also outlines the roles of Homes Tasmania and DECYP in providing that support.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Homes Tasmania provides housing products and funds services for Tasmanians in housing need. The safety and wellbeing of unaccompanied young people, including those on a care and protection or other statutory orders, are a priority for Homes Tasmania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We work with Homes Tasmania to maximise opportunities for unaccompanied children and young people to be safely housed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SLA details how Homes Tasmania and DECYP work together to provide housing, accommodation and support for unaccompanied young people who are on a care and protection or other statutory order. Homes Tasmania and DECYP use a Workplan to develop and progress agreed actions under the SLA. The Work Plan is regularly updated and guides the combined effort of both agencies. It is a structured and planned way both agencies work together to deliver better outcomes for children and young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
