Children, young people, and their families are at the centre of everything this new Department will do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The immediate priority for the new Department is ensuring that current service users see little change in the way they are supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over time, children, young people, and their families will benefit from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>improved co-ordination of services and supports;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>better sharing of information; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ongoing focus on wellbeing and engagement in learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>By establishing the new Department for Education, Children and Young People, our vision is for a Tasmania where every child and young person is known, safe, well and learning.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1 October 2022 marked the establishment of the new Department for Education, Children and Young People.
