{"id":26963,"date":"2023-03-27T11:19:12","date_gmt":"2023-03-27T00:19:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.decyp.tas.gov.au\/?p=26963"},"modified":"2023-09-04T18:25:49","modified_gmt":"2023-09-04T08:25:49","slug":"stage-1-works-at-sorell-school-nearing-completion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/decyp.dev.ionata.com\/ja\/2023\/03\/stage-1-works-at-sorell-school-nearing-completion\/","title":{"rendered":"Stage 1 works at Sorell School nearing completion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Finishing touches are being applied to the first stage of works for the $27.48 million redevelopment of Sorell School.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stage 1 works at Sorell School have delivered a new administration centre, car park and main entrance to the school, as well as a Years 9-12 learning hub and a Years 3-6 learning hub.<br><br>The final elements of Stage 1, which include the fit-out of the new food building, are expected to be completed in the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Work on Stage 2 of the redevelopment has already begun and will include the demolition of old buildings and construction of a new K-2 learning hub and the new Sorell Child and Family Learning Centre to be co-located on the site.<br><br>The Child and Family Learning Centre is part of a Tasmanian Government separately funded 2018 election commitment of $28 million to deliver six new centres across the State.<br><br>The final stage of works includes refurbishment of an existing building for the new Years 7-8 learning hub and will be delivered in 2024.&nbsp;<br><br>All works for the redevelopment of Sorell School are expected to be completed in late 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out this drone footage below of the Stage 1 Works!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"ratio ratio-16x9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sorell School - Capital Investment - Get Involved\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1tbCd4wcJ_8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Finishing touches are being applied to the first stage of works for the $27.48 million redevelopment of Sorell School.&nbsp; Stage 1 works at Sorell School have delivered a new administration centre, car park and main entrance to the school, as well as a Years 9-12 learning hub and a Years 3-6 learning hub.
