Overlooking the Derwent River in Hobart’s northern suburbs, Claremont College is a government senior secondary school dedicated to supporting students as they step into their future. Established in 1990, the college provides education for students in Years 11 and 12, drawing young people from diverse city, rural and regional communities across southern Tasmania.

Claremont College is recognised for its quality teaching, innovation and personalised approach to learning. Smaller class sizes and strong teacher–student relationships allow students to access targeted support, enrichment and wellbeing programs that promote balance and success. A comprehensive tutorial structure supports academic growth while encouraging independence and responsibility.

The college offers a broad range of courses designed to prepare students for university study, further education, apprenticeships, traineeships or employment. Modern facilities and flexible learning environments enable students to pursue pathways aligned with their interests and aspirations.

With a strong focus on engagement, opportunity and achievement, Claremont College partners closely with students and families to support confident, capable learners who are well prepared for life beyond school.
