This ensures educators can best support the needs of the children and families involved in the program.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h2 id=\"at-121421\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">What does \u2018holistic support\u2019 mean?<\/h2><div id=\"ac-121421\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>As well as free early learning, Working Together provides extra support for children and families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples of holistic support include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>connecting families with other support services, e.g. health providers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>attending appointments with families<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>assisting with transport to get children to the early childhood service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>linking families with their local primary school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identifying areas of interest for parents to develop themselves further, e.g. study or getting a driver licence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Working Together team works in partnership with families to support them to build on their strengths and achieve their goals.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h2 id=\"at-121422\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">Who can take part?<\/h2><div id=\"ac-121422\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>To take part in Working Together, children must be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Three years old on or before 1st of January in the year they will take part<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In their year before Kindergarten<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not currently enrolled with an early childhood education and care service (sometimes known as childcare)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And meet at least one of the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have parents\/primary carers who hold a Health Care Card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify as Aboriginal and\/or Torres Strait Islander<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive support or interventions from the Child Safety Service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have two or more concerns identified through the Parents\u2019 Evaluation of Developmental Status (PEDS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h2 id=\"at-121423\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">How do I refer families to take part?<\/h2><div id=\"ac-121423\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>With the parent or carer\u2019s consent, Working Together accepts referrals from any service currently supporting a family. Referrals are made via our <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=xzq-qWAMHkmLO6Mvj0auyMqaxrpF7oNBnv1Y_j8zrkFUOFlINElXQTNNME9BVkpZMkk1RktNV0lYTiQlQCN0PWcu\">online referral form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Working Together is now accepting new referrals for 2024.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that if the Working Together program is oversubscribed, families may be added to a waitlist and contacted if or when spaces become available.
