{"id":34924,"date":"2023-09-14T11:09:28","date_gmt":"2023-09-14T01:09:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/decyp.dev.ionata.com\/?page_id=34924"},"modified":"2025-05-16T10:59:48","modified_gmt":"2025-05-16T00:59:48","slug":"decyp-speech-pathology-scholarship","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/decyp.dev.ionata.com\/ko\/about-us\/employment\/professional-student-support-services\/decyp-speech-pathology-scholarship\/","title":{"rendered":"DECYP speech pathology scholarship"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"block-emphasis\">\n\t<div class=\"block-emphasis__inner\">\n        <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-you-recieve\">What you recieve<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The scholarship provides $25,000 to help meet the costs associated with studying an accredited speech pathology program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hands on experience in a key role in supporting students\u2019 communication and learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"who-is-eligible\">Who is eligible?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship is available to students who are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>currently enrolled in their final year of an accredited speech pathology entry to practice program at an Australian university; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>expected to complete all requirements of their course in 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You must also demonstrate that you will be eligible for employment as a DECYP Speech and Language Pathologist when you have successfully completed your studies.&nbsp; See the <a href=\"https:\/\/documentcentre.education.tas.gov.au\/_layouts\/15\/DocIdRedir.aspx?ID=TASED-1087178304-5986\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">scholarship guidelines (PDF, 173 kB)<\/a>&nbsp;for full details about eligibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-do-i-apply\">How do I apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible students are encouraged to apply for a permanent Graduate Speech and Language Pathologist position advertised on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jobs.tas.gov.au\/\">Jobs Tasmania website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The advertisement will provide you with the opportunity to apply for the scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scholarships will be awarded, based on merit, to eligible students who are deemed suitable for employment through our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/publicdocumentcentre.education.tas.gov.au\/library\/Shared%20Documents\/Information-for-Applicants.pdf\">merit-based employment selection process<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are limited places, and an offer of employment does not guarantee that you will be awarded a scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-are-the-scholarship-conditions\">What are the scholarship conditions?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Scholarship recipients will be asked to sign an agreement with the Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP). This sets out the terms and conditions of your scholarship. This includes the requirement to complete a minimum of two years\u2019 employment as a DECYP Speech and Language Pathologist in a specified region, including a six-month probation period. You will be asked to indicate your employment region preference when you complete your online job application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be required to repay any scholarship funding you have received if you do not meet the requirements set out in the scholarship agreement.
