The Review included government and non-government school sectors with a focus on Kindergarten to Year 12. The Review was led by independent educator Ms Vicki Baylis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DECYP Independent Education Review Implementation Plan (2025\u20132027)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Department for Education, Children and Young People has released an Independent Education Review Implementation Plan (2025\u20132027). This Plan outlines how DECYP will deliver recommendations made by the Review over the next three years (2025\u20132027).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • The Review made 14 recommendations and 36 findings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The Tasmanian Minister for Education accepted 13 recommendations in full and one in principle in 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Four immediate priorities for DECYP were identified in 2024 including:
    • strengthening the existing Lifting Literacy initiative<\/li><\/ul>
      • implementing a new school staff wellbeing model<\/li><\/ul>
        • improving alignment between our school education system and the University of Tasmania<\/li><\/ul>\n

          • getting ready to trial a multi-school organisation model<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
