Violence does not belong in our schools. Our staff deserve to feel safe and to be safe at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When staff feel valued and supported, students are more likely to learn, grow and succeed every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Violence in schools is a complex issue and there is no single solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our priority is to prevent violence wherever possible. When it does occur, we will respond clearly and consistently and support all staff who are affected. This requires a coordinated approach across the whole system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This action plan explains how we will do this. It is based on extensive consultation with school staff and other stakeholders, and sets out immediate actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It outlines how we will build stronger systems over time, working closely with school communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most importantly, these actions move us away from reacting after incidents happen and towards preventing them in the first place.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
