{"id":40758,"date":"2025-08-12T13:03:33","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T03:03:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/decyp.dev.ionata.com\/?page_id=40758"},"modified":"2025-12-17T10:57:03","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T23:57:03","slug":"safeguarding-for-employees","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/decyp.dev.ionata.com\/vi\/safe-children\/safeguarding-children\/safeguarding-training-for-workers\/safeguarding-for-employees\/","title":{"rendered":"Safeguarding training for employees"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"block-emphasis\">\n\t<div class=\"block-emphasis__inner\">\n        <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"key-information\">Key information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As a <strong>DECYP employee<\/strong>, you must complete three compulsory modules each year:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mandatory Reporting training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Child Sexual Abuse Awareness training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Acknowledge that you have read and understood DECYP&#8217;s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/documentcentre.education.tas.gov.au\/_layouts\/15\/DocIdRedir.aspx?ID=TASED-1060461114-3852\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Conduct and Behaviour Policy (PDF, 292KB)<\/a><\/em> and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/documentcentre.education.tas.gov.au\/_layouts\/15\/DocIdRedir.aspx?ID=TASED-1060461114-3850\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Conduct Standards (PDF, 168KB)<\/a><\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For 2026, training must be completed by 27 February 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you return to work after leave or commence with DECYP after 27 February, you will have two weeks to complete the training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certificates are valid until 27 February 2027.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"access-the-training\">Access the training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block-card block-card--wp block-card--vertical\">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/tasmania.sabacloud.com\/Saba\/Web_spf\/A501PRD0106\/app\/me\" class=\"block-card__inner block-card__inner--link\" target=\"_blank\">\n        \n        <div class=\"block-card__content\">\n            \n                            <h2 class=\"card-title\">\n                    <div class=\"card-title__inner\">\n                        <span class=\"card-title__text\">\n                            Access the training for DECYP employees here                        <\/span>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/h2>\n            \n                            <p>Each module takes about 30 minutes to complete.<\/p>\n                    <\/div>\n\t<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h2 id=\"at-407580\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">Advice for &#8216;contracted employees&#8217;<\/h2><div id=\"ac-407580\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>If your wages are paid outside of the employee Empower payment system, please complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/decyp.dev.ionata.com\/vi\/safe-children\/safeguarding-children\/safeguarding-training-for-workers\/safeguarding-for-relief-staff\/\">relief staff training package<\/a>.
