Our <a href=\"https:\/\/decyp.dev.ionata.com\/vi\/wellbeing\/health-and-physical-care\/medical-conditions\/school-health-nurse-program\/\">school health nurses<\/a> play an important role in our school communities. They support students\u2019 physical, emotional and social wellbeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each year DECYP will present the DAISY Award to two school health nurses who provide outstanding support in their schools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are the only organisation anywhere in the world to give this Award to nurses working in a school setting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"who-can-nominate-a-school-health-nurse\">Who can nominate a school health nurse?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone associated with a DECYP school community can nominate a school health nurse for the DAISY Award:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>families<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>principals and teachers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>student support and other DECYP staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>community organisations who deal directly with a school health nurse in the course of their work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-do-i-nominate-a-school-health-nurse\">How do I nominate a school health nurse?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are currently accepting nominations for the 2026 Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can nominate a nurse by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Completing <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=xzq-qWAMHkmLO6Mvj0auyM-DGf0qNflMuEnhzXERekBUMFAyWTVLVTYyVkNQNTlFUjM0S05EUks4Wi4u\">the online nomination form<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Asking your school office for a printed form or print <a href=\"https:\/\/publicdocumentcentre.education.tas.gov.au\/library\/Shared%20Documents\/DAISY-awards-form.pdf\">by clicking here<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sending an email to <a href=\"mailto:daisy@decyp.tas.gov.au\">daisy@decyp.tas.gov.au<\/a> with the following information:<ul><li>Your name and phone number<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The nurse\u2019s name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The school where the nurse works<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Why you are nominating the nurse for the DAISY Award.
