This includes strengthening connection to family, culture, community and Country, and supporting self-determination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Child Safety, Care and Youth Justice Outcomes Framework supports a shared understanding of what good outcomes look like, and how services can work together to improve outcomes over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"about-the-outcomes-framework\">About the&nbsp;Outcomes&nbsp;Framework&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Outcomes Framework explains the things that matter most (outcomes) for children and young people who receive Child Safety, Care and Youth Justice services in Tasmania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It helps make sure children and young people are at the centre of our work. It supports them to be heard, respected and safe, and to get the help they need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Framework helps us see what is working well and where we can do better to improve outcomes for children and young people in our services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-the-outcomes-framework-covers\">What the&nbsp;Outcomes&nbsp;Framework&nbsp;covers&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Outcomes&nbsp;Framework&nbsp;is based on four outcomes:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Known<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;Children and young people are valued participants in decisions that affect them.\u202f&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Safe<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;Children and young people are safe at home, in Care, at school, in the youth justice system, and online.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Well<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;Children and young people are well and thriving.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Learning<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;Children and young people are engaged in learning and are supported to&nbsp;attain&nbsp;age-appropriate outcomes.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These outcomes are supported by three foundations&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;<strong>Partnerships, Workforce, Improvement.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"putting-children-and-young-people-at-the-centre\">Putting children and young people at the centre<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;Outcomes Framework&nbsp;places children and young people at the centre of everything we do. It reinforces the importance of:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Safety and wellbeing&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hearing and valuing their voices&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respecting rights,&nbsp;identity&nbsp;and culture.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting strong relationships and connections&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-children-and-young-people-told-us-matters\">What children and young people told us matters<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;Outcomes&nbsp;Framework&nbsp;reflects what children and young people said is most important:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Feeling safe,&nbsp;respected&nbsp;and listened to&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Being included in decisions about their lives&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Staying connected to family,&nbsp;culture&nbsp;and identity&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Having stable, trusted relationships&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Having opportunities to learn, grow and plan for their future<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"supporting-aboriginal-children-and-young-people\">Supporting Aboriginal children and young people<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Improving outcomes for Aboriginal children and young people is central to the Framework.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It recognises the importance of:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>cultural&nbsp;identity&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>connection to Country&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>connection to family and community&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>self-determination&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aboriginal leadership&nbsp;and knowledge&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;Outcomes&nbsp;Framework&nbsp;helps us&nbsp;stay focused on what matters most for children and young people.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why-it-matters\">Why it matters&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It supports a shared understanding of:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>what good outcomes look like&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how services can work together&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how we can focus on outcomes, not just activity&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how we can keep improving over time.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"to-find-out-more\">To find out more<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please contact: <a href=\"mailto:service.transformation.change@decyp.tas.gov.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">service.transformation.change@decyp.tas.gov.au<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the&nbsp;Outcomes&nbsp;Framework&nbsp; The Outcomes Framework explains the things that matter most (outcomes) for children and young people who receive Child Safety, Care and Youth Justice services in Tasmania.
