{"id":28763,"date":"2023-07-17T12:51:49","date_gmt":"2023-07-17T02:51:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.decyp.tas.gov.au\/?p=28763"},"modified":"2023-09-04T18:15:41","modified_gmt":"2023-09-04T08:15:41","slug":"key-decyp-data-released-via-new-portal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/decyp.dev.ionata.com\/vi\/2023\/07\/key-decyp-data-released-via-new-portal\/","title":{"rendered":"Key DECYP data released via new portal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2023 Department for Education, Children and Young People\u2019s Key Data Set release marks an improved approach to sharing data with the Tasmanian community.&nbsp; &nbsp;Rather than a static report released annually, we will now make high-value data sets available more frequently via our <a href=\"https:\/\/decyp.dev.ionata.com\/vi\/about-us\/policies-legislation-data\/data-and-statistics\/\">online data portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of this new approach, there will be more flexibility of reporting on selected data sets such as reporting attendance and suspension data on a quarterly basis. Additional data sets have also been incorporated into the data release, including new reporting of indicators for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Progressive Achievement Test (PAT) data at the system and year level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kindergarten Development Check (KDC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Services for Children and Families including Child Safety Services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Services for Youth Justice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Data highlights from the 2023 release include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Overall funding provided to schools continues to increase year on year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>95 per cent of students reported they had good relationships and support from their teachers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With increased awareness of safeguarding practices, along with an improved scope of the service, the number of contacts to the Advice and Referral Line increased from 14,111 during 2020-21 to 15,039 during 2021-22 and is expected to reach at least 18,000 contacts in 2022-23.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The number of children in out-of-home care decreased from an average of 1,086.4 during 2020-21 to 1,049.4 during 2021-22 and has further decreased to 1,002.0 during the quarter ending March 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The new portal can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.decyp.tas.gov.au\/about-us\/data-and-statistics\/\">Data and statistics &#8211; Department for Education, Children and Young People (decyp.tas.gov.au)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our 2023 Key Data Set release marks an improved approach to sharing data with the Tasmanian community.<\/p>","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":28923,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"ep_exclude_from_search":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[84],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-28763","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-reports-and-publications"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.8.1 -
