At Truwana/Cape Barren Island School we value connection with Country, Culture and Community. We offer a unique Island experience with strong ties to Tasmanian Aboriginal organisations and services.
We believe this school is a place where every student is inspired to build a purposeful, connected and fulfilled life through learning, with a focus on entrepreneurial thinking.
Students at truwana/CBI School are offered individualised, inquiry learning pathways from K-12 with a unique focus on sustainable land and sea management practices fostered by our relationship with the Truwana Rangers, Sea Country Rangers and the Tasmania Fire Service cadet program.
Pathways for Years 9-12 students may include supervised online learning opportunities, hands-on training packages and project-based learning towards achieving a TCE, TCEA and ATAR through Level 1-4 courses or Preliminary to Level 1 courses.
Australian school based traineeships can also be supported, with Certificate 1 and 2 courses possible.
Truwana/CBI School has a strong and relevant partnership with Flinders Island District High School and students can be supported to achieve their individual education goals across both Furneaux Island schools.
