St Helens District High School is a government school located in the coastal town of St Helens on Tasmania’s north-east coast. We provide education for students from Kindergarten through to Year 12, supporting learners across all stages of schooling within a strong and connected community.

Guided by our motto, “Strong Connections – Positive Futures,” we are committed to building meaningful relationships that empower every student to succeed. Our history dates back to 1874, and today we are a vibrant learning community where students are known, supported and encouraged to achieve their personal best.

We offer diverse learning programs that support academic, vocational and personal pathways. Senior students access TASC and VET learning opportunities, with Year 11 and 12 students learning across dedicated campuses and specialist facilities, including trade training environments. Our students engage in a wide range of academic, cultural, leadership and sporting experiences, both within the school and as representatives of the wider Tasmanian community.

We place strong emphasis on student leadership, community involvement and character development. Values Awards, scholarships and significant bequests recognise excellence, citizenship and contribution, supporting students to pursue further education and future aspirations.

Working closely with families and the broader community, we are committed to nurturing confident, capable and connected young people who are prepared for life beyond school.
