By negotiation, some of our roles require a minimum number of workdays to support the services we provide.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our standard working hours are 76 hours a fortnight, 8.30am to 5.06pm, Monday to Friday. That\u2019s why we implemented the\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/strongfamiliessafekids.tas.gov.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Strong Families, Safe Kids Advice and Referral Line<\/a>\u202f(ARL), with a focus on providing wellbeing and supports to families before there is a formal referral.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a sector, we work to keep children and families together to ensure children and young people can:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>remain connected with their community&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have their voices included in decision-making.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The ARL is the first \u2018front door service\u2019 in Australia. It brings together government workers from Children and Families, and non-government workers from Baptcare and Mission Australia. Each team has a Practice Leader and an associated Practice Manager. They work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals and support staff.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most Child Safety and Wellbeing staff in the ARL work out of the Hobart site and provide a statewide phone service. The work varies daily and we collaborate through a care team approach with children, families, other services and professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"senior-support-workers\">Senior Support Workers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coordinate, supervise and manage a team of support workers to support children growing up in a safe and supportive environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This includes management of the human and physical resources of the Support Worker program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"child-safety-and-wellbeing-worker-advice-and-referral-line\">Child Safety and Wellbeing Worker, Advice and Referral Line<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct safety and wellbeing conversations over the phone, to identify the most appropriate response to meet the safety and wellbeing needs of children and young people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide information and advice about service options and other approaches to support the child and their family.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partner with families, community members and professionals to facilitate critical early intervention responses to meet their individual needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"child-safety-officer\">Child Safety Officer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Receiving, investigating and assessing concerns about children who may be experiencing abuse and neglect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working with families and other professionals to resolve safety concerns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide placement support for carers and children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undertaking ongoing assessment and facilitating planning and decision making so that the needs of children in out of home care are met.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Where necessary, Child Safety Officers are involved in legal interventions in the Magistrates Court Childrens\u2019 Division.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Child Safety Officers work in several areas and teams \u2013 Response, Case Management and Out of Home Care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"adoption-officer\">Adoption Officer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct assessments and undertake case management of children placed for adoption either voluntarily or on legal status, to ensure their safety and wellbeing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct assessments of prospective adoptive parents and collaborate with other services for effective coordination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"after-care-support-advisor\">After Care Support Advisor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Key contact point and coordinator for young adults transitioning from the Child Safety System to adulthood within the Transition to Independence program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide support to young adults who have had a previous care experience to help them maintain stability and respond to issues that arise for them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h2 id=\"at-279798\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">Specialists<\/h2><div id=\"ac-279798\" Referral Line<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Facilitate the provision of information, advice and assistance between the Strong Families Safe Kids Advice and Referral Line or the Child Safety Service, and regional services to promote community education and referral.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"child-safety-liaison-officer-hospital-advice-and-referral-line\">Child Safety Liaison Officer \u2013 Hospital, Advice and Referral Line<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Facilitate the two-way exchange of information, advice and assistance between hospital staff and Services for Children and Families staff in relation to children and families using the Tasmanian Health Service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This includes facilitating access for children to special clinics, providing liaison relating to management of complex and critical cases, and planning for the safety needs of unborn babies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"intensive-family-engagement-specialist-worker\">Intensive Family Engagement Specialist Worker<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Using a Signs of Safety approach, work with families, service providers, relevant agency staff and community support services to facilitate a process of identifying goals and progressing changes which improve the safety of children in the care of their parents.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"court-coordinator\">Court Coordinator<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coordinate court preparation and attendance to support Child Safety Officers with legal processes to assess and respond to the safety of children and young people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in ensuring that all legal aspects of Tasmanian Child Safety practice conforms to legislative obligations, agency principles, practices and standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"trainer\">Trainer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead the development, planning and implementation of professional support, encourage and represent workers in the team to provide high quality and consistent practices to meet the needs of service users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"practice-manager\">Practice Manager<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide day-to-day leadership and management of all practice within the Child Safety Service and Advice and Referral Line.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote and support high standards of ethical practice through mentorship, consultation, critical reflection on practice and practice support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide leadership and management of Practice Leaders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"principal-practice-manager\">Principal Practice Manager<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide high level professional leadership and management of staff within the Child Safety Service statewide, lead clinical governance, and guide the creation of new and Development Manager<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide leadership and manage business related functions that support practice, including health and safety, budgeting and funding
