Some are also open for external partner or volunteer enrolment and will be categorised accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h3 id=\"at-397860\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">DECYP employees<\/h3><div id=\"ac-397860\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>Courses listed on the Hub are open to DECYP staff, unless otherwise stated. Use the \u2018Workstream\u2019 and \u2018Audience\u2019 filters to find training suited to your role within the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"in-person-training\">In-person training<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Most in-person training is carried out at the department\u2019s staff training facilities, the <strong>PLI in Glenorchy<\/strong>, however the PLI can also help coordinate training at other facilities across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"enrolment-costs\">Enrolment costs<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Most in-person courses and training will have costs associated with them. If training is being carried out at the PLI, the standard rate is $50 per day. Costs may be more if it is held at an external\/private training facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following enrolment, your school or business unit will be charged, so it\u2019s important to seek approval your principal or supervisor beforehand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"enrolment-confirmation\">Enrolment confirmation<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Once enrolled, an automated confirmation email will be sent to you as well as your principal\/supervisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"late-enrolments\">Late enrolments<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Enrolments generally close two weeks prior to commencement of the course and may not be accepted after the closing date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"withdrawals-and-non-attendance\">Withdrawals and non-attendance<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Full charges will still apply if you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>withdraw during the week leading up to the start of the course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fail to complete the entire course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>NB: withdrawal due to illness or special circumstances will be considered if communicated in advance by emailing <\/em><a href=\"mailto:pli@decyp.tas.gov.au\"><em>pli@decyp.tas.gov.au<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cancelled-courses\">Cancelled courses<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>A course may be cancelled if enrolments do not meet the minimum required to run the program. An email will be sent advising of the cancellation when this happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the responsibility of the coordinator\/facilitator of the course to communicate cancellation or postponement to all participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"participant-surveys\">Participant surveys<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Please help improve the training delivered by the department and our training facilities by completing all post-training surveys upon request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"photography-filming-permission\">Photography\/filming permission<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Photos or videos might occasionally be organised during a session. Please consider giving your permission if this is requested, as it helps to promote courses and staff training in general within the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"university-of-tasmania-utas-study-pathways\">University of Tasmania (UTAS) study pathways<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Some courses will offer a pathway to progress studies with UTAS. Upon successful completion of these select courses you will then be able to enrol in certain courses offered by UTAS. Assessment to participate in these courses is set by UTAS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please contact the PLI for more information <a href=\"mailto:pli@decyp.tas.gov.au\">pli@decyp.tas.gov.au<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h3 id=\"at-397861\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">External\/non-DECYP participation<\/h3><div id=\"ac-397861\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>Some courses listed on the Hub are open to <strong>external partners\/volunteers<\/strong> or to <strong>non-DECYP school employees<\/strong>.
