education and care (ECEC) and child care in Tasmania under two legislative frameworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acecqa.gov.au\/nqf\/about\">National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care<\/a>, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acecqa.gov.au\/national-quality-framework\/national-law-and-regulations\">National Law and National Regulations<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Tasmanian <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thelaw.tas.gov.au\/tocview\/index.w3p%3Bcond=ALL%3Bdoc_id=62%2B%2B2001%2BAT%40EN%2B20170711100000%3Bhiston=%3Bpdfauthverid=%3Bprompt=%3Brec=%3Brtfauthverid=%3Bterm=Child%20Care%20Act%3Bwebauthverid=\"><em>Child Care Act (Tasmania) 2001<\/em><\/a> and supporting Licensing Standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Publishing regulatory data provides transparency around the Regulatory Authority functions of the Education and Care Unit and encourages voluntary compliance and improved service quality by the early childhood education and care sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Data below details regulatory and services and child care services must be approved to operate. &nbsp;Early childhood providers and services approved to operate under the National Quality Framework (NQF) are listed on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acecqa.gov.au\/resources\/national-registers\">National registers | ACECQA<\/a> for education and care providers and services on the Tasmanian <a href=\"https:\/\/educationandcare.tas.gov.au\/families-and-communities\/licensed-child-care-services\/\">Licensed Child Care Services Register<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The table below shows the number of approved&nbsp;providers and services in Tasmania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">Providers and services approved
