We&#8217;d appreciate it!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Departmental officers and employees should not expect to receive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>gifts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>benefits; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hospitality;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>for doing a job they are paid for by the public to do. In most instances, \u2018thanks\u2019 is enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/documentcentre.education.tas.gov.au\/_layouts\/DocIdRedir.aspx?ID=TASED-4-3886\">Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Policy (PDF, 688KB)&nbsp;<\/a>sets out the broad principles to be applied by and to all departmental officers and employees in relation to the offer, acceptance or refusal of a&nbsp;<em>gift, benefit or hospitality<\/em>.
