“Last year, I had the opportunity to complete my university placement at DECYP, and I quickly fell in love with the work. I knew I had to come back! Schools provide such a unique and enriching environment for children, and I feel truly honoured to be part of the schools I work with.

The Speech Pathology team in the North-West has been exceptionally welcoming and supportive. From day one, I’ve felt like a valued member of the team, receiving ongoing support and drawing from the knowledge of my colleagues. I feel incredibly fortunate to be in this role, working in the beautiful state of Tasmania.”

“My experience as a student on placement as DECYP was an amazing learning opportunity which helped me develop many entry level skills and inspired me to begin my career as a speech pathologist in Tasmania.

Moving to northwest Tasmania to join the DECYP team has been a breath of fresh air. The tightknit community and surrounding national parks have made the area a beautiful place to set down roots and begin my career as a speech pathologist”.
