Salary scales
Your salary as a teacher depends on your qualifications, experience, and years of service.
Salaries for teaching careers with us progress through the current ranges:

| Advanced Skills Teacher | $118,200 |
| Assistant Principal | $130,935 |
| Principal | $131,000 – $184,200 |

Salary placement
We can recognise your previous teaching service from outside DECYP if you provide:
- A certified copy of teaching qualifications to determine correct salary placement; and
- A certified copy of any statements of service from employers indicating previous teaching service.
