The International Big Picture Learning Credential (IBPLC) qualification is issued by Big Picture Education Australia Pty., and warranted by the University of Melbourne Assessment Research Centre (ARC). The IBPLC qualification is recognised by the Office of TASC. This means that the qualification can be listed on the TASC-issued Qualifications Certificate and contribute to the attainment of the Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE).
The IBPLC qualification comprises six (6) Learning Goals. Each Learning Goal contributed 20 credit points towards the TCE's Participation and Achievement Standard. Learning Goals that are achieved at Big Picture progression/performance level 1 will be awarded TCE credit points at Level 1, and those achieved at Big Picture progression/performance level 2, 3, 4 or 5 will be awarded TCE credit points at Level 2+.
Example:
2 Learning Goals at Big Picture progression/performance level 1 = 40 TCE credit points at Level 1
4 Learning Goals at Big Picture progression/performance level 2, 3, 4 or 5 = 80 TCE credit points at Level 2+
= attainment of the TCE's Participation and Achievement Standard (120 credit points, with 80 or more at Level 2 or higher).
