Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry

I will learn:

• How to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others whilst working within the construction industry
• How to perform emergency procedures including evacuations and first aid response requirements
• How to identify and report common building and construction hazards
• How to correctly select and fit Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used for construction work

In typical lessons I might:

• Watch safety videos and demonstrations
• Participate in safety discussions and activities
• Research safety regulations, codes of practice and answer questions
• Participate in classes with guest speakers
