Riverside High School is a government secondary school located in the suburb of Riverside in the city of Launceston, northern Tasmania. Situated along the West Tamar River, we provide education for students from Years 7 to 12, supporting a large and diverse student population within a strong learning community.

Guided by our motto, “Quod verum meum est” (“All that is true is mine”), we are committed to providing opportunities for every student to achieve personal excellence. We promote high-quality teaching and learning through evidence-based practice, clear expectations and a focus on continuous improvement, ensuring students are engaged, challenged and supported.

Our staff work collaboratively to deliver a broad and engaging curriculum that develops students’ knowledge, skills and understanding, while also supporting wellbeing, leadership and personal growth. Students are encouraged to understand the purpose of their learning and to take responsibility for their progress.

We value strong partnerships with families and the wider community and recognise these relationships as central to student success. Through inclusive practices, high expectations and meaningful learning experiences, we aim to prepare students to be confident, capable learners who are well equipped for future pathways beyond school.
