- DECYP employees must complete the following training modules each year:
- Mandatory Reporting training
- Child Sexual Abuse Awareness training
- Certificates are valid until March 2026.
- When completing the training, you must also acknowledge that you have read and understood DECYP’s Conduct and Behaviour Policy and Conduct Standards.

Advice for contractors
For the purpose of the safeguarding training, contracted employees are defined as those whose wages are paid outside of the employee Empower payment system. Examples of contractors include (but are not limited to): Board members, school chaplains, Department of Health contracted staff, and recruitment agency staff.
Contracted employees can access the safeguarding training from the relief staff page. There are instructions on how to register and access the training using security keywords.
