DECYP employees must complete the following training modules each year:

  • Mandatory Reporting Training
  • Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Training

Each module takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Certificates are valid until March 2026.

You must also acknowledge that you have read and understood DECYP’s Conduct and Behaviour Policy and Conduct Standards.

Employees visiting multiple DECYP sites

If a DECYP employee from another site is visiting your site for something such as:

  • Meeting with a student
  • Undertaking an audit
  • Attending a meeting
  • Checking IT equipment

They do not need to show their certificate. It is the responsibility of each DECYP manager to ensure their employees have complete the training.

Technical support

I am contracted to the department and have a DECYP login, but I can’t access the training

Contracted employees here mean employees that are page wages outside of the employee Empower payment system. Examples include:

  • Board members
  • School chaplains
  • Department of Health contracted staff
  • Recruitment agency staff
