In Australia, early childhood education and care educators work within regulated services. These include long day care centres, early learning centres, family day care, or pre-schools. This qualification will provide you with the skills and knowledge to:
- Support children’s wellbeing and development
- Plan activities for children's developmental stage
- Work within an approved learning framework
- Use discretion and judgment while working within defined policies and procedures.
To achieve this qualification, you must complete a total of at least 160 hours of work placement in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia.
